Neuro Linguistic Programming
-NLP-

NLP is a superb aid to improve confidence.

Anxiety, fear and other emotions are a warning signal from our unconscious minds that we’re focusing on what we don’t want, rather than what we do want.

Neuro- is our mind, both conscious and subconscious.

Linguistic- the language we use to communicate, in NLP we use patterns of language to change our subconscious.

Programming- the behaviour response and how we want to react.

NLP is a series of techniques that use the language of the mind to overcome the self-doubt, fears and worries that take away our confidence. It is about noticing our patterns of behaviour and re-programming them to see changes in the way we think and act.

NLP breaks the cycle of self doubt and limiting beliefs which in turn gets rid of the negative self talk.

I work with bespoke packages to ensure that you feel calm and able to make the changes you are searching for quickly.

Time Line Therapy®

I love this technique for it's ability to connect to the body and relieve trauma, frustration, stress, guilt, anxiety, fear and many more  emotions, how can anybody be the best version of themselves whilst carrying all of that?

It's about restoring balance, connection and feeling good about yourself again.

Our emotions are stored in a line like dominos, patiently waiting to be knocked down, if we find that first domino and topple it, it sets off a chain reaction and the others fall too. This is how we work on negative emotions, we work on that first domino.

This is achieved by finding the subconscious 'learnings' in events that can be bought forward to the present day, enabling you to move forward.

The learnings disconnect the emotions from the event, whilst leaving behind the memory and mental clarity.

The Polyvagal Theory

Poly-many
Vagal-vegus nerve
Vagus- Latin for wander

Polyvagal Theory was proposed by Dr Stephen Porges in 1994.

Polyvagal Theory links the evolution of the autonomic or (automatic) nervous system or ANS in mammals to social behaviour, putting emphasis on our stress response, how we process stress, and how it shows up in our bodies. The ANS takes care of a lot of our automatic functions including heartbeat, digestion, and temperature, it also manages survival and stress response.

Dr Porges figured out that we have multiple states of stress or multiple states of nervous system activation.

Ventral vagal social engagement,

Sympathetic fight or flight

Dorsal vagal shutdown
